Who we are

Granite Mountain Veterinary Hospital is a veterinary practice located at 3073 Willow Creek Rd, Prescott, AZ 86301. This policy explains what information we collect through our website at granitemtnvet.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. What we collect

We do not operate a contact form, sell anything online, or ask for any account registration on this website. The information we receive is limited to standard analytics data captured when you visit a page:

Pages you viewed and the time you spent on them
Approximate location (city or region, derived from a truncated IP address)
Device type, browser, and operating system
How you arrived at the site (referring page or search term, when shared by the browser)

This data is pseudonymous. We do not see your name, email, address, or any identifier that ties the data to you as an individual.

Why we collect it

Aggregated analytics help us understand which pages are useful, which are hard to find, and where the site can be improved. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any kind of targeting.

Third parties we use

A few services run inside the website. Each has its own privacy policy that governs the data sent to it.

Google Analytics (GA4) for aggregate page analytics. IP addresses are truncated before storage. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Maps Static API for the map image on the home page. The map is generated at build time and served as a regular image, so visiting our site does not contact Google Maps directly. The Google Maps Platform terms apply to the underlying image.
Google Reviews (Google Places API) for the review excerpts on the home page. The reviews themselves are fetched at build time and served as static HTML; visiting our site does not contact Google.
Vercel hosts the website. Vercel's standard access logs capture IP addresses, user agents, and request paths for security and reliability purposes only. Their policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Cloudflare sits in front of the site for DNS and content delivery. Cloudflare's policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Cookies

The Google Analytics integration sets a small number of cookies used to distinguish unique visitors and measure how long they stay. These cookies do not contain personal information. You can refuse them in your browser settings or by installing the opt-out add-on described below. The site itself does not set any cookies of its own.

Retention

Google Analytics data is configured with a default retention of 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Vercel and Cloudflare access logs are retained according to their standard policies.

Your rights

You have the right to know what information is collected about you, to ask that it be deleted, and to opt out of analytics. To exercise any of these rights, please call us at (928) 771-1340 and we will help you directly.

How to opt out of analytics

Google publishes a free browser add-on that disables the Google Analytics script across every site you visit. You can install it from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Most browsers also support a "Do Not Track" signal in their privacy settings, and many extensions (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger) block analytics scripts entirely.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be noted in the site footer for a reasonable period after the update.
